About

The person behind the projects.

Accounting student. Builder. Creator.

Who I Am

I am Jonathan Stinson, a student pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Accounting at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Outside the classroom, I build things — apps, servers, books, products — because I find the process genuinely enjoyable and because shipping something real teaches you things that studying alone cannot.

Why I Build

Most of what I have built exists because I was curious about something and decided to follow it through to completion. Orc's World started as a private server for friends and turned into a two-year infrastructure project. SFX Library started as an experiment and became two published apps across two platforms. The through-line is not a specific skill or industry — it is the habit of finishing what I start and putting it somewhere people can actually use it.

What This Site Is

This site is a record of the projects I have built and the thinking behind them. It is not a résumé and it is not a portfolio in the traditional sense — it is closer to a catalogue of things I decided were worth doing. If something here is useful or interesting to you, the contact page is open.
