The person behind the projects.
UIUC undergrad. Cybrancee blog writer. Builder.
Who I Am
I'm Jonathan Stinson, an undergrad at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (Business, currently undeclared) and a Blog Writer at Cybrancee. Outside of that, I build things — apps, servers, books — because shipping something real teaches you more than studying alone ever could.
Why I Build
Most of what I've built started as curiosity I followed through to completion. Orc's World began as a private server for friends and became a two-year infrastructure project. SFX Library started as an experiment and became two published apps. The through-line isn't a specific skill — it's finishing what I start and putting it somewhere people can actually use it.
What This Site Is
This site is a record of the projects I've built and the thinking behind them — closer to a catalogue than a traditional résumé. If something here is useful or interesting to you, the contact page is open.
Where I Am Headed
My long-term goal is to run my own company. Studying business at UIUC and writing for Cybrancee are both deliberate parts of that — understanding how businesses actually communicate and operate is the foundation everything else gets built on. The projects on this site are earlier, smaller-scale versions of the same instinct: deciding what to build and putting it in front of people.
